Job Description
The Role

An exciting opportunity to join a fast paced, robust business with a credible growth plan and make the role your own by adding real value to the financial performance of the business. Reporting to the Group FC, the focus of this role will be to improve the business’ financial status by providing financial information, tools and insight to stakeholders, challenging their thinking to help make more informed decisions and driving business strategy. To provide ‘real time’ support and analysis to monitor variances, identify trends and interpret comparative data, and through doing so to be able to recommend actions to management

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting and forecasting for future revenues and margins based on revenue recognition accounting principles
Building management information models (financial and non-financial) and associated reporting processes
Business performance analysis and provide insights on potential performance, risk and opportunities
Reporting on project profitability (with the broader objective of evaluating operational performance)
Facilitating reporting automation where possible in order to support group reporting across international entities, including integration with our US parent
Creating and monitoring corporate metrics (“KPIs”)
Preparing CAPEX business cases and return on investment analyses
Creating, maintaining, and improving the pricing model
Responding to queries from senior management, using data compiled from multiple sources where necessary
Suggesting and implementing process improvements for both the Finance department and the wider business
Additional ad-hoc reporting and project work where required

The Successful Applicant

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
5+ years’ experience in FP&A (as a Business Performance Manager or in a similar role)
An expert user of Excel, with previous experience of Excel based financial modelling
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Navision or a similar ERP system (desirable)
Familiarity with JET, Power BI or a similar Business information system (desirable)
Commercially-minded and inquisitive, comfortable challenging assumptions
Passionate about the quality of their work and driven to succeed
A confident and eloquent communicator, both in verbal and written forms
