With a large number of client wins, we’re on track to make a big impact in the ecommerce market and need to expand our team.In this varied and exciting role you’ll be creating beautiful ecommerce websites and progressive web apps for local and national retail brands. Working from InVision, you’ll execute sophisticated front-end user experiences using HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript.About youOn top of all the relevant technical skills, you’ll be an excellent communicator with strong time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines. You’ll ideally have experience with ecommerce platforms such as Magento 2, BigCommerce and Shopify.You should be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a larger team. You’ll be responsible for the front end implementation of major brand websites and must be able to deliver pixel-perfect, high-quality user experiences across all modern devices.Essential skillsEcommerce experienceHTML5, CSS3, jQuery and JavascriptVersion control software (Git, SVN)CSS preprocessors such as LESS/SASSStrong grasp of modern UX/UI principlesExcellent attention to detail including pixel-perfect execution of responsive designsExperience with speed testing and optimisation of websites from a front end perspectiveKnowledge of A/AA/AAA accessibility requirements.Great communication skills and proven ability to work within a team environmentA passion for constant learning and discovery within your disciplineBeneficial SkillsThe following will be very useful in the role:Magento 2 experienceShopify and/or BigCommerce experiencePHP, MySQLReactFamiliarity with NPM & ComposerExperience of interacting with REST APIs & GraphQLKnowledge of Prismic or headless CMSExperience developing from designs on inVisionExperience building email templates for Mailchimp or KlaviyoThorough knowledge of the full lifecycle of digital projects from strategy, UX, creative to technical deliveryExperienced with good SEO practice in page markup (semantic HTML, use of schema, rich snippet markup)PerksDigital Six is a small and close-knit team, we’re looking to recruit hardworking and like-minded people to join.
