Risk and Control Objective

You will be part of the leadership team working with peers to ensure best practices are adopted by all teams and developing a delivery strategy to refine and improve the methods in which solutions and services are delivered.
You will be Responsible for creating technology solutions to meet business requirements, in line with Cluster and Group IT Strategies and Architectures.
Working with the relevant Project Manager, Lead Solutions Designer, or Technology Partner you will be responsible for ensuring that the outcomes delivered by projects are consistent with the original solution objectives.
What will you be doing?
Responsible for creating technology solutions to meet business requirements, in line with Cluster and Group IT Strategies and Architectures.
Takes responsibility for ensuring that solutions adhere to architectural, quality standards and policies.
Working with the relevant project manager and Lead Solutions Architect, responsible for ensuring that the outcomes delivered by projects are consistent with the solution specified. This will be achieved by reviewing project design artefacts and the impact of significant change requests.
Provide hands on software development at a senior level to include design, software development, automated testing and automated deployment
Keeps up-to-date on the wider industry regulations, standards and trends.
Maintain and contributes to current developments in the relevant technical specialism (s) within Technology.
Decision-making and problem solving
Promotion of innovation, quality and exploration of new ideas as a culture
What we’re looking for:
Strong Knowledge of tools like Chef, SonarQube, Jenkins, Java, Maven, Nexus etc.
Strong Knowledge in Object Oriented Analysis and Design Concepts, Core Java 7/8, Middle tier technologies e.g. JPA/hibernate, Spring, unit testing, mocking frameworks and caching concepts clarity.
Strong knowledge of Web services (SOAP, REST and Micro Services) with spring.
Strong knowledge of technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring-JMS, Spring-Data
Strong knowledge of Test Driven Development, Continuous Delivery, Pair programming and System integration.
Ability to draw upon professional concepts to collaborate with others to carry out assigned duties.
Ability to recognize problems related to team’s objectives / deliveries and to apply creativity / judgment to professional, technical or operational problems.
Analytical ability including root cause identification and proactive design improvement
Awareness of Cloud hosting – Open Shift Enterprise, AWS, etc.
Strong knowledge of tools such as Maven, Gradle, etc
Ability to enforce code quality using tools like Sonarqube, Checkmarx, Veracode as feedback loops.
Working in an Agile Environment

Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience of working within Financial Services
Experience of working with RDBMS development experience (e.g. Oracle) & SQL skills
Experience of using the Git source code control system
Experience to develop software for multiple Operating Systems (e.g. Linux, Windows)
Experience of working within a regulatory driven change environment
Knowledge on UI technologies like HTML, JSP, Java Script, Angular JSAppreciation of Event Driven Architecture & Domain Driven Design
Experience of working on Nexus, Groovy,
Experience of using test automation tools (e.g. Selenium)
Experience of using the Git source code control system
Experience of software development within the Payment Industry
