In addition, you will also support the Digital Technical Manager in developing innovative digital solutions to help parents manage their children’s online safety.The role will require a team player with a proven track record of building websites at scale with interest (and preferably experience) in traditional PHP / MySQL, CSS and HTML.You’ll help us get the most out of our content management systems while giving us the flexibility to work with other tools. We’re headless, using modern front-end frameworks and making more use of cloud technologies. You’ll be working on making our backend scalable and efficient. You’ll also be working with designers writing web user interfaces in a semantic and accessible way.Responsibilities: Manage quality assurance workflow of existing digital productsWrite excellent, maintainable code, and take part in code reviews to ensure the integrity of digital productsContribute to the design and implementation of new technologies and solutions to support the strategic direction of our productsAdopt modern development practices with the teamCandidate specificationEssentialQualifications: Bachelor’s DegreeExperience3-5 years experience in a digital project delivery roleExperience in delivering cross-functional projectsSpecialist Knowledge*Knowledge and experience with PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTMLExperience developing with the WordPress content management system.Practice test-driven development and continuous integration/deployment.Comfortable with relational databases (specifically MySQL).Experience with eCommerce and integrating with payment gateways.Experience designing REST APIsExperience with GraphQL*DesirableUsed GA to produce evaluation reportsUsed Microsoft Power-Bi to organise and present dataTechnical SkillsAble to use a modern JavaScript framework. As we work with different agencies.Understand common web infrastructure tooling (CDN, databases, in-memory caches, etc.).Familiar with git-based workflows (pull requests, rebasing, etc.).
