We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about code, curious, and eager to learn. You’ll be working alongside other talented people in the tech department. You’ll solve problems with technology to make us, and the industry, smarter and better for customers.

What you’ll do
Work on an exciting new web app as part of a growing ecosystem of applications
You will join a dedicated product team working on an exciting new proposition within our business
Own the technical development of a project from inception through to delivery
Collaborate within a dedicated cross functional squad drawn from a dynamic and diverse team at Octopus
Ensure a smooth end to end user experience using a modern frontend stack
Create performant experiences that work consistently across modern browsers and devices
Care about the code you write, its maintainability and documentationBe self-directed but enjoy collaboration, contributing ideas and sharing knowledge
What you’ll have
Have excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React
Value fundamental coding principles and best practices
Have good knowledge in a backend language (ideally Python)
Be confident taking ownership of the development of a project from inception through to delivery
Enjoy working with multiple data sources and designing expressive APIs
Write robust and fault-tolerant software

We would prefer someone who can work in our London office but will consider remote candidates (warning: the bar is much higher). You do need to be able to work in the UK without a VISA though.
