Visit www.peregrineschool.org for more information.Summary of Job DescriptionThe ECC (Preschool) Teacher supports the Head and Lead Teachers in the implementation of class activities and projects, and supervises students during transitions, free play, and aftercare.Duties/ResponsibilitiesEngage students in a nurturing manner that uses open-ended questions and positive guidance techniques; facilitate games and activities with studentsCreate a physically safe and attractive classroom environmentHelp serve and clean up mealsHelp maintain classroom and garden through cleaning, organization, and yard workBe knowledgeable of and follow school policies, protocol, and expectationsParticipate in weekly staff meetingsParticipate in school events and other extensions of classroom work and school programPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsAt least 12 Early Childhood Education units or equivalent; 6 units may be acceptable if actively taking more classes to complete the 12 unitsExperience working with preschool children in a professional setting is preferred, but not requiredWillingness and ability to engage in Reggio-Emilia and other child-centered, play-based approaches to teachingUnderstanding of and commitment to Peregrine School’s mission and philosophyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills: ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levelsBenefitsHealth insurance (medical, dental, & vision) for full-time employees3 weeks paid vacation during school breaks (Winter, Spring, and Thanksgiving)Free lunchPTO accrualJob type: Full time, non-exemptSalary: $15-17.00 /hour, depending on education and experience.Work RemotelyNoJob Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:All staff are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
