Role
ECM3 or Level-3 Software developer at the Functional Safety Team, working in a multinational and multi-disciplined environment for PowerTrain Control Units in the Automotive domain.

Job Description:
Safety software development Engineer located in Bangalore to deliver projects and developer software adhering to safety engineering process across the wider company.
Should support the globally spread Functional Safety teams to develop best practice and processes, as well as develop greater collaboration with development teams across multiple locations.

Experience:

2-4 years in the automotive domain with minimum 1 year experience in Functional safety development

Skills and background:
Behavioral:
Quality adherence and process compliance
Stakeholder management
Needs to understand the fundamentals of Functional Safety engineering, relevant safety engineering standards and more importantly understand the concepts
Technical:
Involved in the software and function development of Automotive domain
Operational experience in designing/ implementing safety mechanisms
Experience in the development of safety-relevant functions in accordance with relevant safety standard such as ISO 26262 (or IEC-61508):
Languages : Embedded C
Hardware Platforms : 8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit controllers
Protocols : I2C, UART, CAN, SPI
Peripherals : Timers, PWM, ADC, RAM, ROM
Testing Tools : Trace – Compilers, Debugger, RTRT, INCA
Development tools : Cessar CT, K-SAR
Standard : MISRA-C, ISO26262, ASIL, AUTOSAR
Management / Tools : SDLC, IMS
Level 3 : Functional safety, Processor Monitoring and Diagnostics overview
Experience in requirement analysis and management process and implementation
Experienced in automotive systems and sub-system electronics architecture implementation
Background in requirements development and management of system critical systems and components
Knowledge of Hardware-In-Loop testing is desirable
Familiarity with
System level and component level FMEA and FTA analysis.
Requirement management tools like DOORS is preferable
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
