JOB DESCRIPTION :
About the Role
Clinic Plus Hair care is the largest and one of the most important brands for Unilever Hair, South Asia. It also has a key role to play in the 5-year growth plan for BPC India. Being the 2nd largest penetrated FMCG brand in the country, it has driven bulk of category’s penetration for more than a decade now. Clinic plus has been the market leader in India and Pakistan for last many years. The role gives the opportunity to create (for one of Unilever’s most successful & iconic brands) mixes that involve deep work on proposition, communication, purpose, product, pack design, range architecture, consumer research and strategic pricing. This will also challenge your strategic thinking to contemporize the actions on the brand so that it continues to be the market leader in an ever dynamic and premiumising market. This role will report into the Global Brand Manager for Clinic Plus, South Asia.
Roles & Responsibilities
Brand StrategyStrong business understanding – from external and internal PoV.Ability to translate market forces and cat strat into long term brand strategy.Clear identification of source of growth for all brand innovations and campaigns to help design JTBDs.
Consumer IntimacyPut consumer at the heart of all strategy and execution.Identify real consumer problems and solve them using insightful innovations & impactful communications to drive brand growth.
Project Management
Responsible for driving networks and keeping them on track while ensuring adequate inputs from stakeholders are received timely
Ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders for driving innovations and timely delivery of projects: global / local/ support functions/external agencies and lead projects independently
Ensure timely delivery of projects and help deliver business metrics of turnover, gross margin, and share.
Mix Design & Execution
Responsible for developing innovations and communication concepts, along with ensuring the final execution
Actively involved in crafting the Brand comms strategy and bring it to life across all campaigns based on true consumer insights.
Work with creative agencies and production houses to bring alive brand JTBDs through the process of issuing briefs, providing feedback, consumer testing and final production.
Create Brand Experience Toolkits to enable 360 deployments of campaigns across multiple media channels.
Collaborate with R&D to create winning products on core and new innovations to help drive greater loyalty.
Create pack designs with design agencies basis consumer insight and trade/channel realities.
Stakeholder Management
Interface regularly with business stakeholders from country, category, and brand to create and align long term brand strategy.
Co-create mixes with partners across all functions, both internal (R&D, SC, Finance, Procurement, etc.) and external (Creative, Pack Design, Consumer Research).
Skills and Experience
3-5 years of experience in Marketing. Experience in BD role will help.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Consumer intimacy along with clarity of thought and ability to identify true consumer insights.
Analytical Thinking, data mining and ability to challenge the status quo, High bias for action, Rigor with strong execution skills, and drive for business.
Strong Project management skills with accountability on meeting timelines and Experience of working with cross-functional teams, both internal and external.
Understanding key processes and system understanding of Innoflex, Tools etc.
