Introduction:
The person in this role will be responsible for delivering a service across all Operations functions to ensure timely delivery of scheduled reporting from the automated reporting system, assist with design and creation of new reports and amendments to existing reports, and enhance the MI capabilities of Operations. Partnering with RTB and BTB teams to resolve identified issues.
This role will be responsible for managing the production and production support team in Chennai, candidate will support the delivery of data analysis and assist the team to develop future support models for new age tools and platform like Alteryx, Hermes, etc.
What will you be doing?
1. Manage Analysts to deliver on MI Service agenda
Responsible for recruitment of staff and ensuring that all new joiners undergo standard training on all required systems and processes.Cross train on all functions performed within the team and across the departmentResponsible for local team performance activities, including setting staff objectives for staff development and conducting appraisals, coordinating training and coaching, performance management, workload tracking and managementOversee, manage, make recommendations and allocate daily tasks with overall responsibility for directing the day-to-day operations for the team.First level management escalation point for all high priority issues
2. Understanding Functional Requirements and Create/Modify reports basis requests
To review the data strategy of the assigned function, identify data gaps and work with Architect team to bridge the gapsResponsible for working towards up skilling the team and make effective use of resources availableResponsible for getting and analysing the initial data for new or enhanced reporting requirementsAnalyse and understand the system architecture and data flow to draft the data requirements, for source team to draft the feed to MI ServiceResponsible for data quality stewardship and streamlining the data structure
3. Day-to-Day Service Support
Directing the production of MI with detailed analysis and commentary for management reporting and managing oversight of all KRI’s and KPI’s, addressing all high-risk metrics promptlyResponsible for the effective management and resolution of any service delivery issues for MI ServiceEffectively investigate and communicate to stakeholders on projects and resolve all differences within agreed timescalesOwn and foster good working relationships with internal stakeholders (i.e. GMO, Ref Data, CTO, and other partners) and external vendors.Ensuring all applicable governance, compliance, risk policies and procedures are adhered toConfident communication and presentation skills required to make presentations to senior management.Work closely with the Risk & Control function to address any control gaps identified and implement controls to mitigate the risk
4. User Support
Manage user escalations on the IT Issues within the infrastructure0020Provide support and guidance for new users on the onboarding training (direct to online training material, familiarise with support documentation available, etc. )
5. Support Lights-on maintenance
Manage Change Requests (capture requirements, update prioritisation queue, track work to completion, organise testing, admin)Co-ordinate RTB and BTB IT teams to ensure new development delivery and successful change deployments, etc.Oversight of UAT to ensure that quality testing is completed and all issues for the team are resolvedKey representative from the department to engage in strategic initiatives discussions with colleagues globally and communicate the expected requirements and impact for the teamSpearhead process improvement initiatives and carry out complex analysis to identify innovative solutions to deliver financial benefits for the firmContinual assessment of existing processes to identify innovative ways of improving team efficiency and client serviceBe able to justify any proposals and initiatives, with cost savings, to ensure management buy-in and ultimately the implementation of change.
6. Governance and Change management
Managing governance on the internal projects and status update on the same as PMOManage change governance on all BI platform and report modificationsCreate MI Framework for managing the inflow of projects and manage priorities
7. Process Improvement within team
Maintain the documentation library, ensuring all process and procedure standards are being met.
Schedule and carry out regular documentation reviews as per team governance.
What we’re looking for:
Exposure in working with RTB and BTB teams, working knowledge of BI toolsThe ability to prioritise and work under pressure, with both the quantity and quality of work being produced to a consistently high standard. Candidate also needs to understand the big picture.Accuracy and attention to detail will ensure that they are able to avoid repetition and minimise the risk of human error.Strong communication skills at all levels, quick learner and polished style
