Job Description : We have moved to a hybrid way of working. This means that you can work from home in this role, however you will be required to work from the Bradford office 2/3 days each week.The Group Treasury Analyst ‘“ Middle Office will support the Senior Manager ‘“ Middle Office in the production of reporting to facilitate the general oversight of Treasury activities. The Treasury Middle Office is responsible for policy governance, control and the monitoring and reporting of limits and EWI’s to ensure compliance. It is also responsible for the management of cash and collateral across the Treasury function together with the set-up and ongoing maintenance of all treasury-related systems. This includes separate processes for Vanquis Bank where necessary.Reporting to the Senior Manager ‘“ Middle Office, the role holder is required to undertake the below activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the establishment of a governance framework for the effective maintenance of Treasury policies and procedures, creating and maintaining a register for monitoring and control purposesSupport the establishment of a register and directory for the operational risk assessments and controls in TreasuryPrepare reporting of Treasury counterparty exposures to internal limits (including intra-group lending positions) for oversight to ensure compliance and the reporting of any breaches in line with policyPrepare reports for the movement of cash and collateral requirements relating to the BoE liquidity and funding schemes, and other facilities. Prepare instructions for collateral management purposes, ensuring margin calls are reconciled and tracked through to settlement with any disputes resolved within the contracted timeframeSupport with the ongoing management and setup of the Treasury Management System and other Treasury related systemsPrepare instructions for the daily management of cash across the Group’s bank account structure to ensure sufficient funding of the divisions whilst adhering to counterparty credit limits and overdraft limitsSupport management with ad hoc queriesMaintaining bank account, custody account and front office dealing mandatesEnsure timely communication of Treasury matters to all relevant Committees.Skills and ExperiencePersonal QualitiesAbility to establish good relationships with the banks (including the Bank of England) and internal stakeholdersAbility to balance long term thinking with day to day operational activityStrong team player that will work on both strengths and development areas within the teamGood communication and the ability to build trust and influence at senior management levelIdeal Experience and QualificationsExperience gained in a financial Treasury environment including Middle or Back OfficesGood understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and debt instrumentsGood understanding of accounting principlesExcellent time management and organisational abilityAbility to influence stakeholdersStrong project management skills including decision-making, time management, prioritisation, organisation and evaluative skillsA track record of developing and delivering process improvementExcellent computer software skills, including Microsoft Excel and Treasury Management SystemsAble to manage tight deadlines and manage projectsThe BenefitsThe satisfaction of working for a successful and ethical business who are here to help people is a big benefit of joining us, but it is not the only one.
