Description

Fantastic opportunity to join the experienced team at KuttinKru (Rotherham) and learn ‘on the job’ as a Hair Professional Apprentice. You will be required to support the stylists in their day to day duties, whilst also learning the role and building a client base of your own.

Duties to include:
Aiding with the smooth day-to-day running of the salon

Assisting the stylists and the salon managers with their client base

Meet and greet clients

Reception duties, including answering the phone and making client appointments

General housekeeping throughout the day to ensure the salon is welcoming to all clients

Work hard to get good results and develop good relationships with clients and be aware of changing fashion trends, new looks and popular products

Practical skills such as shampooing, rinsing off colours, conditioning treatments, blow drying and eventually cutting, and colouring will be incorporated into the training sessions as part of the induction training period, as well as ongoing throughout the duration of the apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

No qualifications are required but 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grades A*-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) would be beneficial.

Training to be provided

Hair Professional Standard – Hairdressing Route.

The training and qualification all takes place within the Sweeny 5 premises.

Functional Skills to Level 2 if not already possessing Maths and English A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent.

Things to consider

The hours are as follows:
Monday – Thursday = 9am – 4pm
Friday = 9am – 5pm
Saturday = 8am – 3pm

Skills required

Prior experience in a Salon or Level 1 Training would be an advantage

Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly but professional manner

Job task planning and organising

Ability to work with others
