About Our Client
Large organisation with high growth and a great culture looking for a Head of Brand and Communications

Job Description
The Head of Brand and Communications will be based in their offices in Manchester and is a hybrid role, it will work closely with the CMO to develop and deliver brand, external and internal communications strategy, messaging and positioning and also include the following:
Manage external channels and ensure timely delivery of Group-wide communications
Manage the updating and maintenance of the website
Define Crisis Communications Policy and process and determine Group’s involvement in local crisis management
Lead on all investor relations activity, particularly the interim and full year presentation of results
Act as first point of contact for general external communication enquiries
Liaise with agencies to ensure communication solutions are developed and delivered on time, to budget
Co-ordinate media and trade press activity in line with local and Group communications strategy
Lead on the external communications and any other broader PR activity, in line with the internal communications plan
Provide in-house press office support as needed, including drafting press releases and managing media enquiries
Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders across the Group to manage and maintain Group communication plans, projects and campaigns across all countries
To create and support the delivery of an integrated internal communications
To deliver colleague communications activities to support key projects.
To create and schedule key colleague communications activities.
To consider all available internal communications channels – such as email, the intranet, an app, SMS, Facebook for Business, social media and vlogs – to ensure we continually optimise and have interactive two-way colleague communications.
To build/ maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and the leadership team.
To ensure our core values / of voice sit at the heart of all colleague communications.
To develop, own and drive the colleague communications calendar, ensuring necessary planning and sign off milestones are managed.
To work closely with the wider HR and Talent Development team together with the Marketing team and support the delivery of our people and employer brand strategy.
To seek ways to measure the effectiveness of our channels for colleague communications to help shape further activity and to continuously improve
Increase engagement rates within the organisation across internal communications activities.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Head of Brand and Communications will need to travel to the Manchester office 2-3 times per week and demonstrate the following:
Relevant degree and typically a minimum of four years’ experience in a communications role within a multi-national, corporate, large organisation
Excellent copy writing skills
Proven experience of project management and tactical campaign rollout
Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and the ability to work to tight deadlines
A high level of personal and professional credibility
Passionate and self-motivated
Evidence of being able to think creatively and implement advanced communications solutions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a team player
Internal and brand experience in large organisations would be an advantage
Good commercial acumen
