Living our values in action we step forward, walk in their shoes, stay human, make it better and get there together.About the roleReporting into the GM OF Technology & Cybersecurity, this role exists to lead the cloud & technical infrastructure design, delivery, monitoring and management of HCF’s cloud platforms and on-premise platforms in order to provide HCF with robust, reliable and redundant foundation to meet business needs.This role will collaborate with the App Service Delivery Community that is responsible for the design, acquisition, build, onboarding and customisation of all application solutions for HCF business, including both SaaS solutions and software solutions that need to be deployed to the IaaS cloud or on-prem platforms that this role will manage.This role will also take the input from Enterprise Architecture, Vendor Governance, IT Governance and Support/Operations to ensure the cohesion with enterprise principles and goals, SLAs, compliance, supportability and operational efficiency.The responsibilities of this position include but are not limed to:Responsibilities: lead programs that envision, evaluate, and enable Cloud-enabled technology transformations. Provide guidance to Projects on working with Cloud from an Application and Data perspectiveLead understanding and preparation for the impacts of Cloud, facilitating stakeholder agreement and changeDevelop cloud infrastructure provisioning and operation maturity to possess capabilities including Cloud infrastructure DevOps, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code and Automated Cloud infrastructure Creation, Usage Tracking, Monitoring and Effective Cost ManagementDesign, Setup and Manage HCF’s IaaS (currently AWS based) cloud platform that supports HCF architecture development and continuous delivery. Drive forward HCF’s devops culture, and bake in cloud security best practices.Sets the mission and vision of the Cloud, Infrastructure & Monitoring team supporting HCF strategies to foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques while ensuring alignment with Project Management, Development and Enterprise architecture teams and standards.Leads the development and continuous enhancement of Platforms strategy, roadmap and capital & opex plan, and ensures its integration with the overall IT and HCF Strategy 2025.Work collaboratively with the IT leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritise resources. Liaising with teams across IT e.g. developers, project managers, analyst and architects to ensure the integrity and operational adequacy of Technology and SolutionsDevelopment of hybrid sourcing strategy and provides oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management with exceptional focus on service deliveryManage & report capacity utilisation of platforms ensuring it is optimised to deliver highest level of performance and to meet business requirementsServes on IT planning and policymaking committees; drives the development & implementation of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure team delivers value to the enterpriseBuild, lead, inspire, coach, develop and motivate a high performing teamAbout you: To be successful in the role you will have the following: Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent engineering disciplineMust have demonstrable 4+ years of full stack engineering experience with direct accountability of Cloud technologies hosting production and business critical services based on automation, containers and microservices.Must have strong knowledge of contemporary technology platforms typically gained by 8+ years of experience in varied platform technologies domain including AWS/Azure infrastructure, data centre and virtualisation (storage, compute and networking), Automation of configuration / Infrastructure as Code, Cloud DevOps Automation, cloud internetworking, LAN/WAN, telephony, End User Computing and Wintel/LINUX systemsMust be able to demonstrate strong alignment to HCF Values: “STEP FORWARD, STAY HUMAN, WALK IN THEIR SHOES, MAKE IT BETTER, GET THERE TOGETHER”.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate technology services vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns to the IT and business strategy.Ability to instill confidence in the business and demonstrate the business value of ITSuccess in leveraging both traditional best practices, such as IT service management practices based on ITIL, as well as emerging methods like DevOps that are optimized for agilityStrong project management skillsProven track record in successfully managing, coaching and building the capability of othersAbility to manage senior stakeholders and build effective relationships across technology & businessPlease note applicants should include a cover letter addressing the selection criteria for this role.CultureWorking in the health insurance industry, we know how important it is to prioritise the wellbeing of our own people.
