About the Role:

We are looking for a committed and dynamic Head of Music to join GEMS Wellington International School, Dubai from September 2022.

The successful candidate will lead an exceptional department, offering outstanding provision across the whole school. GEMS Wellington International School is looking for a candidate who can help grow the department into an established IB option to complement the success of extra-curricular Music across the school. The opportunities which Music presents for students is central to the philosophy of the school. As a result, this appointment is crucial to the continued development of Performing Arts provision at WIS.

Successful applicants will have:

A certified teaching qualification with exceptional subject knowledge and experience of leading a high performing teaching team. We will also consider applicants currently in a Deputy Head of department role looking for the next steps in their career.
Experience teaching GCSE and IB or equivalent. We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
At least 3 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England.
