Job Description : Due to the retirement of our highly regarded and long standing Headteacher, an exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the school through its next stage of development. The Governing Body, staff and children are seeking to appoint an inspiring Headteacher to provide professional leadership for the school, ensuring high quality education for all its children and high standards of learning and achievement. He/she will need to recognise the importance of team working but not be afraid to make strategic decisions. He/she must be able to demonstrate commitment to enhancing the curriculum, whilst ensuring the pastoral wellbeing of all our children. They should be a natural communicator, he/she will require a hands-on approach and a willingness to engage warmly and whole heartedly with the whole life of the school.
St John’s Church of England (VC) Primary School is a friendly, happy, and caring one form entry school with its own Nursery. The school is in a in a picturesque location in Keele village, next to the Keele University, with which the school has strong links. In keeping with our Christian foundation, we focus on personal qualities through the values we teach, to establish the relationships essential to succeed both socially and academically.
