Job Description : Healthcare AssistantsCOVID-19 Vaccination ProgrammeBand 3 – £10.40-£11.14 p/hour (indicative) Flexible hoursLast year, thousands of people stepped forward to offer their time and skills to support NHS England’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign. Because of them we were able to roll out primary vaccinations to millions, saving thousands of lives and making the connections we value possible once more.With the emergence of the Omicron variant, the vaccination programme was ramped up further. But while millions of booster vaccinations have already been administered, there’s still much work to done. So join us now and you too could play a crucial role in protecting the connections that matter to us all.The roleJoining a dynamic team, you’ll be providing vital support services across the vaccination centre. That will include helping to set-up and maintain vaccination pods and all areas of the centre. You’ll also ensure vaccines and any essential equipment are readily available, and manage clinical waste across the site. We’ll also be relying on you to thoroughly and consistently sanitise all areas of the vaccination centre, including the post-vaccination observation area.Who we are looking forThis role calls for self-motivated and committed individuals who:-Have c12 months experience of working in a health or social care role-OR, are qualified to NVQ 3 Level or equivalent (e.g. 2 A Levels / National Diploma) and have either qualified in (or are studying) a health related subject or can demonstrate some experience of working in health or social careYou’ll need to be a great team player and you’ll be determined to play your part in ensuring the ongoing success of the national immunisation programme.As part of the process, you’ll receive training to prepare you for your role.Where you’ll be workingWe are looking for Healthcare Assistants across all regions in England.
