The Cyber Threat Management (CTM) team under Cyber Security Defense and Monitoring (CSD&M) unit, with-in ICS, is responsible for monitoring the cyber threat landscape, developing innovative security solutions, and performing proactive security assessments that mitigate the organization’s exposure to Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), Advanced Evasion Techniques (AET), Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Attacks, Hacktivism, Cyber Crime, Malware, and other categories of online attacks targeting the financial services industry
The Cyber Security Innovation (CSI) with in CTM team keeps Wells Fargo ahead of emerging threats by solving some of today’s most perplexing cyber challenges and preparing for the changing cyber landscape of tomorrow. About Role
Our Information Security team is looking for an Information Security Engineer to join the Cyber Security Innovation Team (CSI). In this role, the ideal candidate should be experienced in system and application engineering in environments with complex configurations and rapidly changing requirements.
Responsibilities
This Information Security Engineer role is on the Cyber Security Innovation – Strategic Initiatives Group (CSI-SIG) within the Cyber Threat Management group performing application engineering for a suite of products supported by the group. The ideal candidate should be experienced in system and application engineering in environments with complex configurations and rapidly changing requirements. This role engineering duties related to the CSI-SIG suite of products as well as the following:
Daily maintenance and troubleshooting supporting application developed by internal teams
Occasional late-night or early-morning assistance with ensuring optimal application availability
Investigating and implementing fixes for security vulnerabilities and other application maintenance activities
Assistance with OS upgrades, system rebuilds, and onboarding additional infrastructure
Working closely with a development team in the DEVOPS model
Required Qualifications
5 to 7 years of information security applications and systems experience
5 to 7 years of information technology applications and systems experience.
3 to 5 years of development experience with one or more of the following: Java, Perl, Python
3 to 5 years Automation of day to day activities with Selenium, Cucumber and Java
Desired Qualifications
2+ years of experience working with development technologies such as NodeJS, Meteor, Mongo in a support capacity
2+ years working with configuration and monitoring technologies such Ansible, Telegraf, Grafana
2+ years of experience supporting applications using service mesh/micro-services architectures.
Knowledge and understanding of security configuration management including: linking security policy with security configuration.
Knowledge and understanding of network security and network protocols.
Knowledge and understanding of vulnerability identification and remediation.
System vulnerability detection and mitigation experience.
Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
