Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
As an InfoSphere Information Server Architect you will apply your deep expertise in Datawarehousing, Data Integration and Data Migration to come up with a solution for the customer on IBM Data and AI platform systems. You will also have to ensure that the best practices prescribed for InfoSphere Information Server is implemented on the ground, for the customer. Based on your expertise and skills gained over the years, you will have to review and guide customers and IBM partners.
Aside from participating in the above activities, you will apply your deep expertise in designing, running and monitoring the infrastructure to support IBM InfoSphere Information Sever projects on On-Premise / IBM / Private Cloud.
What you’ll do:
Be a trusted Advisor of the Customer
Lead on technical investigations & proof of concepts, both individually and as part of a team, including being hands – on with code, to make technical recommendations
Lead a team of engineers for the project owned
Work in an Agile, collaborative environment to build and deploy hybrid cloud architectures
Work on solutions and designs of peers, including data models, pipeline design and provide appropriate feedback including performance optimization. And, support peers and IT partners by recommending solutions that reduce/manage risk and deliver value.
Ensure that the maximum capability of IBM InfoSphere Information Server product is used.
Be responsible for researching, architecting, and delivering the constantly expanding solutions that run on IBM Data and AI platform systems.
Drive business and technology strategies and initiatives into actionable roadmaps with clear direction on execution to ensure business value and ROI.
Build complex data processing pipeline using InfoSphere Datastage
Be a leader on thought process, publish Patents, White Papers and Cook Books
Develop and maintain complex data ETL/ELT Pipelines, data models and standards for various data Integration & data warehousing projects
Take ownership of technical solutions from data flow design and architecture perspective, ensure the right direction and propose resolution to potential data pipeline-related problems.
Create documentation for Architecture Principles, design patterns & examples, technology roadmaps & future planning
Create a consistent methodology & process to share across the WW team
Mentor juniors and help team grow team – technical + quality deliverables
Be 100% hands on wrt Developement lifecycle, implementations, perf challenges / debug etc

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
12 to 15 plus yrs. experience with software implementation with data warehousing
Must have a proven track record of innovation as well as being detail-oriented, team-oriented, self-directed and adaptable to new development environments and changing business requirements.
Rich (5 yrs plus) experience
Experience in Data Warehouse and BI related technologies
Working knowledge of Data Governance concepts.
Working knowledge of Data Integration and Data Quality concepts.
Working knowledge of Data Modelling concepts.
Strong experience in Design, Development & Build activities in IBM Infosphere DataStage/QualitStage.
Strong experience in Design, Development & Build activities in InfoSphere Governance Catalog and IBM Infosphere Information Analyzer .
Expertise in shell scripting
Experience in software migration, debugging and performance optimization
Fundamental knowledge in one or more of the following technology areas: Scala, Python, Java, Kubernetes, SQL, and stored procedures
Expertise in BI technologies (in more than 1 areas amongst Cognos, BO, Power BI, Tableau)
Expertise in Database (in one or more amongst Teradata, Exadata, Netezza, Oracle)
Experience in Big Data and Cloud Data Warehouse technologies – Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, Snowflake, Hadoop, Hive, Greenplum
Readiness to travel
Excellent Communication, people management and leadership skills
Ability to pick up new areas and work on a Consultant Profile as well
Master level Domain Knowledge of at least 3 domains”
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
12 – 15 years of Work experience
12+ years of experience in IBM InfoSphere Information Server suite of products; Three or more years of experience of full life cycle Datawarehousing, Data Integration / Migration projects
Advanced development and troubleshooting skills in IBM InfoSPhere Information Server. IBM Certifications in InfoSphere Information Server is an advantage.
Expert on Installation and Configuration of InfoSphere Information Server products on Windows, Unix and Linux environments.
