Job Description : Job Purpose:
Infra Technology Analyst will be responsible for Infrastructure engineering & application environments for hosting Citi Research applications, also including various vendor technologies. Support global Citi developer community by installing web & application servers’ environment, build & release infrastructure, and other related web services. Work with the requestors to derive hardware sizing and procurement as per the application specs. Work on implementation of web applications using various http, Java, security, authentication, network load balancers & database technologies. This web technology specialist will also help with SSL certificates renewals, secure application key stores, application debugging & environment stability support. Manage the build and release activities for Research to meet business demands.
Job Background/context:
This role is required to provide Infrastructure engineering and application build/release services to support global development community in Research. This role is important to ensure infrastructure stability along with adherence to access control policies for various application environments. It is required to ensure we meet the strategic migrations to dockerized and latest cloud technologies. This role will also provide support for remediation of security issues and SSL certificate management.
Manage Application environment using Apache Tomcat, Oracle Http , Jetty and nGinx servers.
Software Configuration, Build and Release engineering across multiple applications.
Code branching and release process management through all phases of application environment including non-Prod & Production.
Management of code repositories such as GitHub.
Work on build tools such as Jenkins, Udeploy and others.
Automation of application build & promotion and other repetitive tasks to allow single-click deployments.
Manage code quality tools such as SONAR and continuous integration environment to support development activities.
Implement documented changes to Databases such Oracle, MySql and also NoSql data stores such as MarkLogic & MongoDB.
Application environment setup using Java, Tomcat, Apache and other web technologies on Unix/Linux/Windows environment.
UNIX or Perl scripting for automation.
Manage work activities via change management process.
Engage and provide implementation support for proof of concepts involving new technologies.
Provide these functions across multiple application environments including production.
