Your Role and Responsibilities
The Network Engineer will be a member on the Global Infrastructure Network Operate quad. This person will be responsible for network operations and infrastructure services regionally and globally. As a part of the Network Team, Your responsibilities will include day to day tickets and support, participation in on-call rotation, and documentation.Responsibilities. Implementing changes to the application architectureExpanding/extending network capabilitiesAdding locations/users to the networkMigrating workloads into ACI fabricConfigure ACI multi-site with deployed fabricsIn-depth knowledge of and experience with major network protocols and technologies including BGP, OSPF, MP-BGP EVPN, VXLAN and VPC.Experience with design and implementing SDN – Software Defined Network / SDDC – Software Defined Data Center environments. Experience with design and implementation of large complex Cisco ACI – Application Centric Infrastructure nodeData Center experience (Nexus, Routing + Switching)
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 8+ years’ experience focused on Data Center network support, configuration and implementation.Minimum 8+ years of core switching, routing, MPLS and FWs.Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in enterprise-level networking with knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF and BGPv4, etc.), SMTP and SNMP..Exposure to Cisco UCS platform and related switching configurations.Experience deploying and maintaining wide area networks with emphasis on IPSec, L2L VPN, and Remote Access VPN.Networking and security architectural and engineering support experience across local, regional and global domains.Ability to effectively execute multiple IT projects and deadlines with limited supervision.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Working knowledge of AWS – EC2, EBS, Networking, SG, AMI’s, Checkpoint firewalls and F5 Load Balancers.Hands on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.Experience with TCP/IP, networking, and DNS, SMTP, and HTTPS
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
CCNP or equivalent industry &/or business networking experience desired\ Hands on experience with VLANs and routing.Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix security (Firewalls, ACLs, Authentication, etc.).Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience in Operating Systems tuning and configurations.Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
