What youll do:

The IT Applications Architect serves as the primary technical point of contact and accountability for the strategic vision and associated roadmap for IT Applications & Development at Sheetz.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)
Works with Strategic Resource Management (SRM) and other key stakeholders throughout the business to develop an understanding of the company’s strategy and competitive environment in order to ensure application architecture is aligned with business objectives and associated projects.
Using the information gleaned from the business, works with SRM to define, plan and prioritize IT Applications & Development initiatives (to include ownership down to the feature level) in order to align applications, systems, and capabilities with the needs of the organization.
Serves as the primary point of contact for other technical teams to ensure their applications & development needs and requests are appropriately defined and implemented in a manner that is consistent with organizational strategy and security guidelines.
Responsible for building and maintaining a data-driven, metric-based approach to Applications & Development planning, design and operation. Works with key stakeholders in the business to define service level objectives (SLOs) for their respective applications / systems.
Collaborates with Infrastructure, IT Support and/or RISC as appropriate in building out project plans and implementing new technologies.
Works closely with the Business Intelligence department to ensure alignment between IT Applications & Development and the organizations data strategy.
Researches, analyzes, and evaluates new service delivery methods and techniques.
Manages relationships with key Applications & Development technology vendors, to include the development of RFI/Ps and SOWs for new products and services as required.
Provides input and guidance into Applications & Developments financial planning and budgeting process.

Experience youll bring:
REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field required
Masters degree preferred
Experience
Ten (10) years of relevant experience in a technology environment required
Three (3) or more years of progressive experience in leading enterprise-wide programs or initiatives required
Experience in designing and implementing complex, enterprise-wide applications required
Hybrid cloud design and management experience is preferred.
Practical experience with lean and agile methodologies is preferred.
