Job Description : Main Duties will include:
Supporting and assisting the other Infrastructure team members
Support and develop Linux based systems both in the cloud and on-premises
Assist with the support of Microsoft based Infrastructure (365 / Active Directory)
Acting as an escalation point for
IT Support
Voice
Service Desk
Development teams
Supporting the physical on-premises network equipment across multiple business locations
Maintaining existing systems to be secure and reliable
Proactively work with customer companies and departments to engineer and provide adequate solutions that meet their needs
Work closely with IT management to ensure targets are met and customers are happy
Assist the wider group in the creation of IT policies and procedures
Covering out of hours on-call on rota.
Key Skills:
Extensive experience of Linux ( RHEL, Amazon Linux, Oracle Linux )
Experience with AWS (experience with Oracle Cloud beneficial )
Experience of Windows Server 2012 – 2022, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence & BitBucket)
Knowledge of web/software development processes and tools (LAMP)
TCP/IP, DNS, and domain name management
Experience with HP ProLiant servers
Experience with HP ProCurve network switches
Knowledge of scripting and automation is an advantage (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
Mimecast, ESET Protect and Tenable.sc experience beneficial
Experience of working in an Infrastructure/System Admin team
Good interpersonal skills
Good spoken English and a positive telephone manner
Good written English for formal, informal information exchange within the team and with third parties
