Management Level Definition:
Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
Responsibilities:
Manages and leads a program involving one or more functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a subsystem or component of a product or service offering.
Develops schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.
Coordinates activities of supporting project teams and internal and external development partners; tracks progress against established plan and makes decisions to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.
Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to implement changes to product, process, or program plan to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.
Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Have knowledge of architectural frameworks, methodologies, and tools and understand how to apply this knowledge to successfully deliver customer projects.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure effective and efficient development, delivery, deployment, operation and support of the solutions.
Collaborate with the account team to meet or exceed revenue, product, and customer satisfaction and market share goals for assigned accounts.
Provides reliable financial forecasts to Management
Provides performance feedback on project team members
Facilitate building custom/reusable solutions of project and program or operational scope.
Governance of project and program or operational scope.
Identify and address technical or operational risks.
Role is primarily technical in nature
Ensure operational excellence by monitoring key metrics and ensuring team goals and contractual commitments and met.
Resolve/monitor routine customer escalation as appropriate
Directs daily work activities of teams providing IT services to internal company users to solve various business systems and applications problems for customers
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
PMP/PMI certification preferred.
Typically 4-6 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Using project planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated experience coordinating and directing matrixed teams and resources.
Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
Architecting:
Ability to lead the architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of medium to large business IT based solutions (typically within multiple technology or specialty areas).
Understands and applies information system or operational solution related modeling methods and tools.
Can validate/evaluate if an information systems or operational architecture meets technical requirements and specifications.
Applies appropriate methodologies and SME knowledge to resolve complex business issues.
Business Acumen:
Identifies risks and challenges the customer should expect to encounter with the solution based on similar efforts done with other customers.
Develops Architecture Specification deliverables that map customer business requirements into specific technology or operational recommendations.
Ability to apply business management and financial concepts, capital investment, financial modeling, and general aspects of business contracts. Use this knowledge to analyze business needs and develop meaningful system or operational recommendations.
Ability to apply knowledge of how the industry uses IT to address business challenges using, for example, technical standards and infrastructure, cross-industry trends that impact IT investment, industry-specific roadmaps, and IT enablers.
Technical:
Deep IT industry knowledge in specific areas ( DevOps, Analytics, Automation etc.,)
Certifications are preferred
Good knowledge of IT infrastructure (Server, Storage, Network).
Understands future technology or operational trends as they relate to and support customer business requirements (“trusted advisor” role).
Deep knowledge of IT and business standards and best practices in specific areas and how to apply them appropriately in solutions.
Pursuit:
Able to play a leadership role in business development activities for medium to large opportunities.
Lead in identifying, qualifying, and closing medium to large opportunities.
Be able to provide the company with voice of the account.
Play key role in preparing proposals and bids for medium to large opportunities.
Manage internal reviews and contribute to Solution Opportunity Approval and Review (SOAR) process for medium to large opportunities.
Build rapport and trust with client.
Demonstrates excellent consultative, solution selling skills.
Consulting:
Build and manage long term strategic relationships at Executive level.
Good customer influence and negotiation skills.
Ability to tactically consider all sides of an issue within the contexts of time, breadth, and range of options.
Ability to systematically gather, assess and apply organizational, technical, operational, and sales/marketing information for business decisions.
Ability to prepare clear, concise, and persuasive communications for multiple audiences, including demonstrating effective writing and presentation skills, listening actively, and projecting a trustable image.
Ability to articulate technical or operational problems or issues into understandable business terms.
Communication:
Able to design and present high-impact messages to customer.
Able to use a wide variety of presentation tools to persuasively communicate complex messages to multiple audience levels, including senior level management.
