Job Description : This job opportunity is to join JPMorgan’s AMP Open Data Platform Technology team consisting of 20 software engineers across Bangalore and Glasgow. The team works on a an exciting new client facing API and data platform used to ingest client position and transaction data and deliver the data to a wide range of back-end services for portfolio analysis, risk analytics and other services offered to customers of the Asset Manager Platform (AMP).
Be a part of an Agile, collaborative and dynamic team that works on multiple work streams across locations and delivers great value to the business. ODP is a relatively new application and therefore builds on an up to date modern technology stack, providing exposure to various cloud native technologies for team members.
As part of this team you would :
Design, analyze, develop, test, debug and document as a part of the agile development process to solve business problems.
Work within the larger globally-distributed team to deliver against the overall ODP project plan
Apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with technology and business stakeholders.
Collaborate with our network of global technologists to work in a culturally diverse and inclusive environment.
Participate in the continuous process of application improvement by collaborating with peers and help identify new features.
Work on a technology stack primarily based around building message driven micro-services in core Java, Spring Boot and Kubernetes. Near term goal for the platform is to move to public cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications:
5+ years of hands on work experience on Java based services, messaging technologies (e.g. JMS, Kafka), relational databases and Spring / Spring Boot
Must have excellent communication , interpersonal and problem solving skills
In depth understanding of modern software development practices including automated testing, continuous delivery and DevOps
A good working knowledge and understanding of Kubernetes would be preferred
Nice to have: someone having exposure to public cloud technologies, such as the Amazon Web Services stack
