At PSR we are the go-to place for talented contractors and temps for a rich variety of public sector roles.As JavaScript Developer, you will: Develop software to meet user needsFollow best-practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelinesWrite clean, secure and well-tested codeCoach and mentor more junior colleaguesOperate the services they build and identify issues in productionYou’ll have/be: Excellent knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScriptExperience of Agile software development and working in SCRUM teamsDemonstrable experience designing, coding and debugging JavaScript based systemsGood skills in web front end technologies such as HTML, CSS, etc.Server-side JavaScript experienceNodeJS/express experienceRESTful APIs experienceReact/Redux experienceExcellent knowledge of relational databases including data modelling, SQL scripts, store proceduresFamiliar with source control systems, including branching, merging, etc.Experience with continuous integration & continuous deploymentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong task planning and delivery skillsCare, accuracy, and attention to detailSelf-awarenessHigh levels of professionalismA ‘self-starter’ with strong motivation to succeedExcellent problem-solving skills with a can-do approachIt would be great to also have: Experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with experience with microservice oriented architecturesTesting: Selenium, Gherkin, Jest-CucumberPerformance: testing / tuning, jMeterExperience in Salesforce and other COTSExperience with DevOps toolsIn applying for this role you acknowledge the following; this role falls in scope of the Off Payroll Working in the Public Sector legislation. Any rates of payment quoted will reflect the gross rate per day for the assignment, and will be subject to appropriate taxes and statutory costs.
