Job Description : This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring web developer to join our talented team, building world-class websites, apps and digital experiences for incredible brands like Microsoft, Xbox, AIG, Taco Bell and The Football Foundation.
It is an entry-level role and while some experience would be beneficial, full training will be provided. The focus will be on your continuous learning and development to help you progress up the levels, supported by our expert team.
The role will be based in our Leeds office with an optional 2 days a week working from home and flexible start times.
As a junior back end developer at Bolser you will be:
Working collaboratively with project managers, UX designers, UAT testers and other developers
Learning to write clean, high-quality code using test-driven development and pair programming
Building web applications and features using PHP and related technologies
Delivering high-quality digital products through a structured Agile process
Utilising the latest technologies and techniques to solve problems
Ensuring our systems are reliable, secure and well documented
Developing and working with web services such as AWS and Azure
We are looking for someone with:
A computer science related degree or equivalent experience
A passion for technology and web development
Excellent time management, attention to detail and teamworking skills
Enthusiasm, with a desire to learn, develop, and exceed expectations
A basic knowledge of any of the following would be beneficial – PHP, Symfony, Laravel, MySQL, Github, AWS, Azure, Drupal or any other popular open source CMS
