Job Description : Your field of responsibility
The person in this role will work with a large scale system processing terabytes of data daily, deployed in a distributed Linux and Windows environment. Main responsibilities include designing and delivering new features and updates to the existing features in the Market Risk applications within CRO IT (Chief Risk Officer IT) as required by the internal bank business functions and external financial market regulators.
The person in this role will become a member of a project team located in Pune, focused on strategic business projects on Myriad platform and architectural changes to the existing application stack, e.g. debt remediation and migration to cloud.

Your skills and experience
Senior Java Developer with architectural and design experience to join a strong software development team of closely collaborating skilled individuals. Person in this role will be exposed to challenges related to distributed systems, latency, multithreading, transactions, race-conditions, asynchronous processing vast amount of data. The core of the application is based on Java stack (Spring, Hibernate, Jgroups, EhCache) and there are a number of modules applying other technologies like .Net or Python. To ramp up quickly candidate should have proven technical background, good learning skills and ability to quickly find required information.

Essential
Proven design or architecture experience
Knowledge of coding design patterns, and practicing clean code
Experience with Java Application-Server (e.g. Weblogic)
Development experience in Java technologies (Java, Spring, SpringBoot, Camel, Mockito)
Understanding concepts of dealing with large throughput and ensuring high-performance
Outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills
Experience of database design and development on Oracle 10/11+
Culture of CI/CD pipeline automation
Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
Desirable
Exposure to Restful, SOAP web services
Proven track record in using best-practices in a Java development environment (test driven development, continuous integration, source code control)
Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt (training or certifications)
Experience with migration of applications to cloud (Azure, AWS)
Will to take ownership of end-to-end deliveries of coordination of activities in a group
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift
Strong Enterprise-level Java Application Architecture, Design and Development experience
Act as an expert on the work stream to drive strategy meetings and product development opportunities
Experience in working with Scrum/Agile teams across locations, attending stand-ups and estimating complexity for stories and tasks assigned
Participating and driving the testing process including developing and executing unit tests, supporting QA team with the development of integration and regression tests
Should be able to maintain quality of code, come up with ideas to improve existing processes
Ability to work effectively under pressure, challenging deadlines
Ability to profile the code and certify system stability throughout enhancement/maintenance periods
Sense of ownership and hands on approach to problem solving
Experience of supporting applications
Experience of working with people spread across locations / time-zones
