The Role
The Consumer Analytics Platform (CAP) / Data Utility Product Lead will support the Head of the Consumer Analytics Platform / Data Utility and work in Partnership with Product Owners to develop and deliver the Utility’s functions to meet prioritized Enterprise objectives. The Product Lead will be responsible for owning and maintaining Data Rules, necessary integrations, and downstream data feeds required and delivery decisions to downstream applications.
The Product Lead will work in a highly matrixed organization with the Head of the Data Utility, Product Owner, Sponsor, project management and analyst support, and across other CDP and CDEP Leads to provide support to the following representative tasks:
Partner with key Business, Technology, Data Science, and Architecture leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to champion the Data Utility vision, guiding principles, prioritized use cases/end user experiences, high-level requirements and roadmap
Act as the SME and steward of the Data Rules, maintaining a rules library, cross referencing existing rules to generate efficiency in new product implementation, and enforcing proper governance over rules according to risk and controls standards
Leading technical & data design sessions, working with SME’s to understand and capture net new functional and non-functional design requirements, and rules requirements
Identifying upstream and downstream data and integration needs, and working with the Product Owner to ensure those needs are captured in the form of user stories and are assigned to sprints in accordance with delivery expectations
Engaging with Wells Fargo Technology and vendor support teams on technical/support issues or questions
Engaging with CDP peers to support downstream data audit, analytical and reporting needs.
Collaborating with testing leads to generate repeatable, pattern-based testing scenarios for new product releases
Researching and resolving Data Utility quality and production issues, in-depth data or technical research
Manage a team of data and business analysts supporting Product onboarding (rules, data and other requirements) across Utility scrum team(s), providing support, direction, and technical growth opportunity.
Partner with the Product Manager and Product Owners to prepare Executive-level Communication and Cross-organization socialization of Product scope, approach, solution, value drivers, and upcoming asks
Participate in Cross-Product sharing of best practices developed on or during initiative work

The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and credibility with a proven ability to influence broadly across a matrixed organization, create engagement, and drive results. This candidate will be articulate and have strong interpersonal effectiveness with an impeccable reputation for integrity, accuracy, consistency, and business acumen. Key areas of experience include financial services, product management, and product leadership.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
4+ years of technical product management experience
4+ years of managing a team of two or more people
Other Desired Qualifications
Strong SQL and UNIX skills
Deep experience with DROOLS, rules development, and rules management
Prior Experience developing automated Eligibility and/or Targeting platforms
Experience with Cloud-first data architecture, such as Spring Cloud
Experience with MongoDB, Kafka, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment, including internationally
Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectives
Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with data management best practices and disciplines including data governance, data architecture, data quality, analytics and business intelligence
Experience with Banking, Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting data platforms and technologies, and experience addressing data related requirements of internal stakeholder
Experience with Marketing, marketing suppression and traits processes, credit data, and/or eligibility pre-qualification
Broad experience with Banking applications, products, technology architecture and systems integration experience in consumer and small business banking, consumer lending, and wealth and investment management
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to engage and influence senior technology and business executives
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Driven, confident, organized and an accomplished problem solver
