Pre-Sales Cloud Solution Architect

The Cloud Solution Architect will be a key part of our presales team and will be involved in the architecture, design and planning of infrastructure solutions based on both private and public cloud platforms. A strong knowledge of data centre virtualization, Storage, network, systems and system flow between virtualized environments and non-virtualized environments would be advantageous.

The Solution Architect will be responsible for the solution development on new opportunities, providing technical advice and expertise as well as maintaining architectural integrity for all solutions for Atos customers

This position will have a broad range of responsibilities that require a deep technical knowledge of enterprise architecture (physical and virtual servers, SAN, NAS, Linux/Windows Operating Systems, Networking); and cloud technologies.

As the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for delivering the end to end solution design including costing of the cloud solutions proposed. Ensuring the solution addresses the business requirements of the customers in the most cost-effective and innovative manner. Experience of working for a large Managed Services provider, or Systems integrator will hold you in good stead.

Shortlisted candidates will meet the criteria below and can be based in India.

Key Responsibilities

Alignment of strategies with customer expectations and global policies

Solution Technical design preparation

Solution Costs model preparation

Cost estimation and ensuring all necessary approvals

Assist with the development of a solutions strategy to meet customer’s requirement and which is also in line with business requirements

Alignment of design with Atos portfolio

Maintain relationships with relevant external suppliers and customers

Implementation and improvement of solution standards

Provide guidance and governance to presales team

Requirements

Strong experience with Cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Experience on private Cloud Architecture

Minimum 10 years’ experience in the IT industry

Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a IT Architect

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent qualification

Preferably certified in Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF

Sound experience and knowledge across multiple technology domains

Capability to guide, manage and mentor technical teams

Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels with an ability to apply a suitable layer of abstraction pertinent to a particular audience

Creation and maintenance of technical documentation to a high professional standard

Experience delivering large scale transition and transformation programmes as a Lead Architect (e.g Hosting, Workplace services, Service Desk and Telephony)

Previous experience working for a Managed Services provider is preferential

Experience working for customers in the Public Sector advantageous

Ability to co-ordinate remote and local delivery teams

Be a team plyer capable of working with both technical and non-technical resources.
