Job Description
Shared Data Layer (SDL) is a cloud native subscriber repository being developed for the next generation 5G networks.
A large suite of automated tests (functional, robustness and performance) tests has been created to ensure that every software change is tested rigourously. We are looking for experienced engineer(s) who help contribute to this suite, analyse runs, create test plans and ensure coverage.

DEVOPS Software Engineers with good software design comprehension skills with test driven development expertise in automation tools and scripting required along with test expertise in testing of key security requirements of application deployed in VNF/CNF
Skills Required:
Proficiency in Robot framework
Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting with Perl knowledge
Object-oriented programming exposure, Java programming concepts
Proficiency in GIT (Source control) and CI tools – Jenkins / Hudson6
Proficiency working in a Linux environment
Expertise in encrypted access protocol testing SSL/TLS ensuring application security
Expertise in various VNF application key security requirements is a MUST
Experience in LDAP/HTTP2 with TCP/IP, DNS, TLS
Expertise in test design methodologies
Proficient in tools like Wireshark, Tcpdump, Ethereal
Experience with OpenStack, VM Ware (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting)
Should have knowledge in Containers, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, helm
Competencies Required:
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software
Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise
Identify and solve for bottlenecks within our software
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, scenario analysis and test cases for functional, Performance, Robustness areas
Specialist in functional test areas with a close understanding of product e2e business scenarios, load tools, etc.
Responsible for product/feature deliverables with good quality with RCA/EDA practices
Able to deploy applications in specified environment (VNF/CBF) and create required test data that are applicable
Able to analyse performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations to improve performance.
Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Development and Test teams to foster a team environment
Expertise in performance testing tools like Jmeter and Load Runner tools
Proficient in core/heap, threads and log analysis, with JVM and Database tuning
Working knowledge in areas of HTTP/2, JSON, Docker/Container/PODs, Kubernetes including k8s internal networking, Openstack, Vmware needed.
Good knowledge of test processes and automation areas including CI/CD process is required.
Should have good experience in analysis, design and development test automation framework
Team-player, self-motivated and independent, responsible for quality of all the deliverables within time & cost.
Experience in functional, non-functional, performance and security aspects of software testing
Should actively drive all aspects of system quality and processes, and develop and execute Tests, scripts and plans (manual and automated)
Expertise in Testing methodologies and debugging skills
Estimates work amounts in own process area.
Writes test requirements, test specifications and other guiding documentation for R&D from technical area point of view
Strong Project/Product Development Experience in an Agile Scrum Team (Kanban / SAFe)
Adaptability and flexibility to work with others and contribute to project with stretch in critical times of project life cycle
Must display a high degree of willingness and ability to understand a new business domain, a new product, the product’s business and technical underpinnings.
Facilitation of open communication and discussion between stakeholders is required.
Contribute to R&D efficiency improvements
Demonstrates independence and raises innovative ideas
Qualifications
12+ Years of Experience in SW Testing
Degree in BE/BTech/MTech/MCA
