Position Title
Lead – Exim
Purpose of Role
The Ideal person will be responsible for maintaining customs clearance timelines 3 days for sea customs and two days for air customs.
Position Summary
Advance licence application – On Monthly basis as per requirement of plant application of new advance licence , Query replay till issuance of licence and registration of same with custom with proper submission of Bonds with notary. Also any query replay for DGFT. Preparation of CA, CE certification for Ad-hoc licences. Any amendment in licence.
RA issuance – As per buyers instruction for RA to purchase from SEZ, obtain Utilisation certificate from Custom and by submitting it into DGFT with other documents and get RA released from DGFT and filing of BOE at SEZ and clearance of same
Collection and submission at DGFT- On weekly basis visit to DGFT for collection of original documents /RA/ Other documents
Visit to Custom, DGFT for any import shipment related query or licence related work.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Indepth knowledge of Customs procedures for Imports- Bill of Entry filing (all types of B.E), customs assessment, examinations procedures, delivery process etc. Should be able to handle interpedently .
Indepth Knowledge of Imports customs clearance and import documentation formalities, Licence utilization. Advance Licence registration at customs, use of licences for imports under EXIM Schemes.
Timely Clearance of Import shipments from port- Looking into day to day activity of import shipment including checking and filing of correct Bill of entry, Timely payment of custom duty , any query from custom, approvals of shipping line invoice CFS Invoice, till the material reaches to W/H. No any miss-deceleration with DGFT and Customs. Overall responsibility of import compliance since starting to end.
ERP / SAP & IVL Entries from NN documents to GRN. Should be well versed to make DSR in Excel and control the import clearance process .
Processing Bills of CHA, Transporter , CE, CA and other consultant and payment of same . Monthly reconciliation and No dues from vendors.
Coordination with vendors and logistics service providers (CHA ,Transporters) and shipping liners, CFS authorities, port authorities. Coordination with procurement, stores dept.
