Department Overview:

Consumer Lending Banking Technology supports various applications for the Wholesale line of businesses. The teams are spread across various locations including EGS. Team member will be working from any of the EGS India work locations. The technology team has various applications based on Java Stack, Microsoft, DWH, Etc.,.

About the Role:

Development and maintenance of Java/J2EE based enterprise applications. Role involves technical solution designing, coding, unit testing, automation, builds and deployment of Java application with critical focus on security, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical design solutions

2. Develop code with established standards/best practices around security, scalability and performance.

3. Develop unit test cases to ensure complete code coverage using Junit, Mockito, Power Mockito, JACOCO, SonarQube etc.

4. Responsible for testing of one’s own code delivered. Responsible for test automation using selenium. Test automation will be an integral and significant part of job responsibilities.

5. Strong understanding & experience with security scans including Fortify scans, BlackDuck scans etc.

6. Provide technical Guidance/direction to junior developers

7. Analyze requirements and come up with high level/low level technical design

8. Develop reusable components to improve efficiencies

Essential Technical Skills :

10+ years of strong & proven experience in Core Java and java based web application development with Hibernate
Hands on experience in developing microservices
Very good understanding of object oriented programming concepts using Java.Strong hands-on experience in core Java & core web technologies(Servlets, JSP, session handling, filters)
Strong hands-on experience in Hibernate
Strong experience in developing test automation using Selenium. This will be integral part of job responsibility.
Junit, Mockito, JACOCO, SonarQube and REST based services testing tools & code coverage tools.
Must know REST & SOAP web services using JAXB, JAX-RS and JAX-WS (consumption & hosting)
Good understanding and experience in using build and deployment tools like Jenkins, UDeploy etc.
Sound understanding on XML elements and XSD
Relational data modelling, Strong in Oracle SQL
Good knowledge on HTML5, JSON
The candidate should be very strong in communication; oral, listening and writing skills. Able to communicate ideas/views clearly.
Good at analyzing business requirements pertaining to web-based systems and understands secure coding practices.
