Job Description : The Role:
Logitech is seeking a Lead Software QA Engineer to join a cross-functional team developing consumer electronics. You will work closely with internal stakeholders (Product, Sales, R&D, …) and external vendors. You consider yourself a rockstar QA engineer and have been an asset to other organizations in the past. You have been involved in testing of Software Applications and have possibly been involved in testing Android devices. You are familiar with the networking stack and are comfortable setting up multiple test environments that involve Proxies, firewalls etc. Finally, you have excellent debugging and QA skills required to understand end customer issues and translate them to Engineering teams. You are familiar with various environments like Windows, macOS, etc. and are comfortable setting up multiple environments within a testing framework.

Familiar with Networking technologies in setting up Proxies, firewalls
Proficient in Data Networking ( L2 / L3 , Switching , routing , WLAN’s )
Familiar with setting up routers/gateways based on different configurations as defined by customers.
Experience with 802.1x a plus
Comfortable setting up environments in order to debug customer/field issues and working with support and Development to troubleshoot and isolate the issue. This includes comfort with video/audio calling applications using various peripherals connected to different computers: PC/MAC/Chromeboxes/Linux
Exposure to debugging tools like Wireshark, USB analyzers, Audacity to capture logs/data.
Strong Knowledge of Android fundamentals and Android device testing a plus.
Comfortable with LINUX and Android commands to debug and gather logs for embedded systems.
Proven track record in mentoring/guiding junior engineers
Working directly with team members overseas.
Programming Skills: Extensive knowledge on Python, Bash, Java/Kotlin (a plus), and/or other scripting languages to support and create automation and unit tests.
Experience with web services with HTTP, HTTPS, REST APIs, and JSON
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team.
Excellent Testing and QA skills with ability to understand reported issues and motivation to reproduce them to help development teams fix them.
Proven experience in configuring and managing switches, routers, setting up firewalls etc.
CCIE or similar certification a plus
Strong knowledge of Android Fundamentals
Knowledge on Java/C/C++ development would be advantage
Proven track record of testing HW peripherals like cameras, webcam, audio devices like speaker phones, headsets, earbuds on PC;s. MAC’s, Embedded solutions, and mobile devices, and being able to report and gather important information to debug and pass on to Development.
Education:B.E/M.E in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
