Timely and meaningful management information is key to our continued success.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the finance team of a growing and dynamic estate agency group. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the rest of the finance team, you will lead the Assistant Management Accountants and play a pivotal role in all aspects of the business’s accounts and finances across the group.Our environment will provide an ideal blend of core accounting/bookkeeping work, management accounts preparation and involvement in business analysis. That opportunity exists here.Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;Preparing monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting P & L to budget and forecast, for various entities across the group.Maintaining various companies’ books and records on Xero – processing invoices, posting journals and keeping fixed asset registers up-to-date.Assisting in maintaining the group’s cashflow reports and forecasts.Reporting on departmental performance, to department heads and directors, and providing any necessary analysis/insight to aid understanding.Dealing with customer and supplier transactions, taking payments, and helping to maintain good business relationships across the group and with external stakeholders.Being a key point of contact for any ad hoc finance/account queries both internally and externally.Supporting and training more junior members of staff.Skills RequiredIdeal candidate will be either ACCA or CIMA Part-Qualified or equivalent and have gained similar experience in preparing management accounts and working within a finance team.Good use of accounting systems and advanced Excel to manipulate data. Previous experience with using Xero would be advantageous.Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to liaise with people at all levels.The department is headed by our Financial and Managing Director, so exposure at the highest level is guaranteed.
