Job Description : Meraki Talent Ltd are delighted to be engaged by a well-known business based in Edinburgh. Our client is looking to hire a Management Accountant (9-month FTC) and are willing to pay £35,000 – £37,000 per annum.

The Role

The role of Management Accountant will report into the Finance Manager with a dotted line to the Director in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be involved in the production of quarterly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT as well as ad hoc reporting.

To perform well in this role, you must be a Part-Qualified Accountant with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Moreover, you must be IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE or willing to work on an interim basis.

On Offer

The role of Management Accountant is offering a salary of £35,000 – £37,000 and a 9 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT. The office is based in Edinburgh; however, the business has recently implemented hybrid working (requiring you to work 1 out of 5 days from the office).

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:
Production of quarterly management accounts
Budgeting and forecasting including variance analysis and commentary
Liaising with clients of the business on all accounting matters
Balance sheet reconciliations
Cash flow forecasting and other banking duties
Assisting with indirect tax, compliance, and audit requirements
Ad hoc reporting for clients
To be considered for this role you must:
Be immediately available or willing to take on interim work
Be a part-qualified (or working towards) accountant – ACCA/CIMA etc.
Have excellent MS Excel skills – pivot tables, vlookups etc.
Have strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship building skills
