Job Description : MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Our international client is recruiting for a Management Accountant

up to £70,000k
Hybrid working – 2 days in office and 3 from home
40 hours a week
The Management Accountant is a key member of the Finance team working directly under the supervision of the Financial Controller with overall responsibility for maintaining the financial records of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Management Accounting:

o Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation and reconciliation of monthly trial balance, profit & loss accounts, balance sheets and cash flow forecasts.

o Preparing reports required by the shareholders and any other ad hoc reports including: sub consultants, fee forecasts, aged debtors, etc. as required.

o Preparing draft accounts for overseas branches

o Assist with the preparation for the annual audit of the financial statements including preparing year end lead schedules, providing audit support and liaising with Auditors

o Assist with the preparation for the annual budget and recurrent forecasting

o Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, Accruals, Prepayments, and other schedules

Project Accounting:
o Project revenue, cost, and profit reporting

o Project sector analysis

o Completion costs update, and stage completion analysis

Accounts Payable:
o Data entry and export into the Purchase, Nominal, and Sales ledgers

o Making authorised payments to suppliers, sub consultants, and HMRC, and ensuring payments are dully logged

o Reconciling supplier statements and payments

o Maintaining and tracking project consultant purchase invoices

o Handling queries from sub-consultants, and generally from all senior management within the company

Undertake all petty cash withdrawals and reconciliations
General ad hoc financial administration including providing support to overseas branches
Other financial duties as they arise

Knowledge, Skills and requirements

4+ years of accounting experience. Qualification by Experience or finalist studier

Recent Sage experience is vital- Sage 200 desirably
Good-to-excellent MS Excel skills – VLookup, SUMIF, Pivot Tables
Rapport project finance software (desirable)
Experience of project accounting (desirable)
Good attention to detail
Strong organisational skills
Excellent communication/administrative skills
A good team player with confidentiality and discretion
Ability to work on own initiative / pro-active
Ability to build rapport quickly with all staff members
