You will also produce the quarterly VAT returns, compile various weekly management reports and assist the Financial Controller with the annual audit, tax return and other projects. A key part of this role is the development of our systems and processes, taking a fresh look at what we do and finding ways to make a difference. We are always striving to achieve more and want to make the most of our data in order to drive improvements.Some examples of the day-to-day duties are:Development of finance systems, processes and reportsIdentify prepayments and reallocations requiredManage the cashbook (analysis and forecast)Post rent ledger and sales ledger journalsReconcile van stock movement and prepare stock payment analysis.Calculate and post prepayment journals and depreciation journals.Balance sheet reconciliationsAbout the Person: You will need to have good communication skills, a meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. You should be at least part qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or qualified by experience. Previous experience working in a similar role is essential. You must be detail oriented and able to prioritize and perform multiple projects and tasks. Ideally we are looking for someone with demonstrable experience developing finance systems, processes and reports.Above all, you will need to have the right attitude. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and so we expect you to do everything in your power to make their Verdant experience the absolute best it could possibly be.
