Job Description : The Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing effective marketing strategies and
campaign plans for an international trade exhibition(s) and conference(s). Using traditional and
innovative marketing techniques, the Marketing Manager will support the drive to attract visitors,
delegates, exhibitors, sponsors and press.

The Marketing Executive will also put forward ideas, develop new initiatives and apply their B2B
marketing experience, to enhance and develop marketing activity.
He/she will typically be assigned two events. However, if it is a mega event, it will be only one.

Job-Specific Skills:
Experience in the use of databases in both mass and targeted direct marketing
campaigns.
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including: MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate
to all levels both within and outside the organisation.
Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Copy writing.

Contribute to all aspects of
marketing activity, ensuring best practice
marketing techniques, and
communicating a clear promotional
message. Produce event marketing materials to meet a critical path
Create and issue promotional
electronic newsletters (HTML & Text);
become an ‘expert’ in what constitutes
an effective email campaign § Produce EDMs to a critical event path/calendar and analyse open/click rates and conversions to monitor effectiveness
Maintain event website, apply
SEO knowledge and recommend ways
to enhance user journey. § An effective easy to use website that shows conversions (delegate and visitor registrations)
Manage PPC campaign, with
support of Digital Marketing Executive –
review results and make
recommendations. § Generate traffic to the event website and landing pages
Utilise and manage digital tools
(i.e. App, survey tool) to enhance
campaigns. § Event content to be displayed on a mobile app to help attendees plan their attendance § App adoption and usage rates will be analysed
Manage the exhibitor promotional
campaign and contribute to campaign
strategy. § Production of a Critical Path Analysis that uses all channels to generate leads
Lead copy writing, design and production of delegate marketing materials, and emails. § Generate a significant number of leads for delegate sales through targeted campaigns
Become an expert in salesforce –
identify marketing opportunities and
utilise data. § Produce complex data reports for various campaigns both mass marketing and targeted
Marketing administration including
proof reading, delivering advertising
copy, responding to enquiries,
monitoring competitor activity etc. § Timely responses to enquiries § Mistake-free collaterals to market for the event
Negotiate barter details with
appropriate media partners and
associations § Ensure that a wide range of effective contra deals are in place to increase the reach of the event through marketing channels of partners
Liaise with external suppliers (incl.
PR companies, designers, online
providers, data houses, registration
companies, printers, photographers,
mailing houses). § Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and negotiate good rates within the budget
Support the implementation of
research projects to review customer
satisfaction and identify portfolio
developments. § Survey development and completion rates to produce accurate findings for review
Provide onsite support to ensure
the smooth running of marketing related
activity (i.e. registration, press office,
research, placement of branding and
materials; sales stand). § Effective briefs and supplier management to ensure smooth running on communications and coverage during the event
