Job Description
We’re looking for a seasoned, yet impatient marketing adventurer to form the first part of our Indian marketing team. Not only are you a successful, liked and respected leader, you’re also known to get your hands dirty and do the work, no matter what that means. You will be our first member of our Indian marketing team and it is your job to both run the show and recruit your fellow team mates as you go.
Here’s what we need you to do:
Critique our current, and help formalize our future marketing and growth strategy in India.
Make all the right connections and whip up mutually beneficial partnerships.
Establish, activate and develop our affiliate program.
Take care of our player community. Talk to them, understand them, fight for them and keep them craving for more.
Run PPC campaigns and create a PPC scalability plan that you also execute.
Identify and contract rising star influencers and turn them into valuable partners.
Work with our CEO to establish a Marketing Team Growth Plan, both taking internal trainings and recruitment into account.
Recruit your very own dream team.
Run player promotion campaigns and competitions.
Research and implement (along with our tech team) all the marketing tools we need in order to automate the grind and focus our minds on creativity.
Be ultimately responsible for combatting marketing fraud.
Find and seize opportunities in the product to increase the friend invites and k-factor of each acquired user.
Envision and execute on other ingenious growth tactics and hacks.
Fine-tune our marketing basics, such as positioning, offer, value prop, brand guidelines and general tone of voice.
Don’t deliver reports – deliver results we can see, feel and taste. Well and reports too, but you get the point.
Qualifications
Okay, so we’re asking for a lot. We’re ONLY interested in people that enjoy a tough challenge and are ready for a full-blown adventure. So your mindset is just as important as your qualifications and skills. We believe that you:
Have at least 5 years experience of building and running successful cross-functional marketing teams, with equal doses growth and retention focus.
Have at least 5 years of hands-on experience of running PPC campaigns, writing copy, press releases, negotiating with partners, implementing analytics, running affiliate programs, running influencer campaigns, identifying and dealing with marketing fraud, etc etc. You get the picture – you need to really be able to practice what you preach.
Have solid experience from fantasy sports, both professionally, but preferably also as a player yourself.
Have a list of verifiable achievements focusing on growth and retention.
Are a systems-thinker not prone to overthinking. You intuitively know how to balance analysis and planning with actual execution.
Are a seriously likeable character with the ability to combine silly humor with laser-focused delivery of KPIs.
Speak and write perfect English and Hindi.
Are up-to-date with all the major marketing platform policies and laws applicable to fantasy sports in India.
Have deep experience of working with various MMPs and DMPs.
Hands-on experience of the following tools:
Google Ads
Facebook Ads
Google Gsuite
Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Have a keen interest in marketing automation, the latest trends and new tech in the field at large.
