Context of the role
Thunes is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Manager (contract) to lead our participation in global Events and Conferences. This is a 6 months contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious marketer to lead Thunes’ global event planning and execution. The candidate will be a key member of the team, responsible for Thunes presence at the industry shows and conferences, and supporting events on the ground.

The ideal candidate has experience successfully executing events and exhibitions, managing multiple projects simultaneously, while delivering great quality of execution and results.

The role is a 6-months a full-time role based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

Organising participation in exhibitions, partner dinners and forums, and other marketing activities
Creating detailed operational plans for all events, including timelines, venues, vendors, staffing, and budgets
Briefing, collaborating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Conducting pre- and post-event evaluations and report on outcomes
Planning, monitoring and tracking budget and invoices
Negotiating sponsorship deals
Liaising and negotiating with vendors
Content creation and production
Project administration and management of workflow
Offsite and onsite supervision and delivery of events

Professional Experience/Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in event management
Strong command of project/program development, project management and budget control skills
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel
Good analytical, consultation, planning, presentation and facilitation skills will be an advantage
Strong business acumen and mindset
Self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic, a strong team player
Self-starter, hustler, able to work independently
Good time management ability and ability to handle multiple tasks at any point of time
Detail-oriented, able to satisfy high executional standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written): able to brief internal and external stakeholders: sales teams, partners, sponsors, speakers, etc. to ensure the smooth implementation of projects; able to negotiate with vendors/service providers to ensure a successful, high-quality and cost-effective project execution
