Job Description : Medical Receptionist Islingtonup to £10.50phWe have an excellent opportunity for any experienced EMIS Medical Receptionist to join a team of 7 admin and clerical staff in an established NHS GP practice in Islington.Your role will be to welcome, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service (or healthcare professional) in a courteous, efficient and effective way. In addition, you will provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person, by phone or by e-mail.Using EMIS, you will be responsible for managing key tasks such as:RegistrationsOnline e-ConsultsEmailsScanningRepeat prescriptionsBooking appointmentsCalling/Recalling patients for appointmentsAs the role is continually developing, you must also be willing to learn new technology such as the NHS app.In order to excel in this position, you need to have two years of experience within a GP practice using EMIS.This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week across the following shift pattern: Monday: 09.30-18.00; Tuesday: 08:00-16.30; Wednesday: 09.30-18.00, Thursday: 09.30-18.00; Friday: 08.30-17.00 (I hour per day unpaid lunch)This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.BSR Health are a Specialist Healthcare Agency.
