Job Description : Roles and Responsibilities
Area
Merchandising Cluster Manager
Sales
Plan and implement the actions for Driving Top Line Region
Execute and work in markets with Sales team to drive penetration
Identify and on-board potential suppliers to build profitable categories
Provide State/City specific sku level inputs on category promotions
Commodity Buying & Sourcing
Negotiate and finalised buying price with suppliers and quantity basis the guidelines – Regional level MarkaBrand
Commodity Pricing
Review and action on daily price benchmarking inputs
Suggest selling price inputs for assigned Brands/Marka
Monitor contract performance against plan
Margin & Other Income
Negotiate additional Volume based discounts & Margins from Vendors
Execute agreed plans on marketing investments and linked product promotions.
Visit FC every fortnight to check on damaged/ aged inventory and close consolidator sales to highest bidder
Vendor Management
Liaison with local vendors and ensure supplies and resolve transactional issues
Develop new vendors to achieve buying efficiencies
Inventory Management
Ensure consistent availability with timely inputs to Replenishment teams on buying price
Execute and achieve planned results on ‘Risk Inventory’
Give inputs on assortment addition basis market demand and ask from Channel Sales team
Channel Business Development (Horeca and O&I)
Periodically Work with Sales team & visit customer sites for market comping
Support Product sampling with help of vendors providing physical samples
Market Visit & Insights
New Market Visits with Sales team to prepare Assortment for each channel. Define Quality Specs & Sourcing Plan
Market Visit with Geography Team for understanding customer needs and trends and Enable Sales Team to build category connect once a week
