Your Role and Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
As a Data Engineer on the Build Labs Team, you will:
Code
Closely with other teams to determine what data management systems are appropriate and which data are needed for analysis
Implement Data solutions that deliver value to our clients and partners
Use leading-edge tools such as Linux, SQL, Python, Spark, Java, and Cloud Vendors such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, etc
Work with a team of engineers with expertise in AI, and industry-leading Cloud platforms and technologies
Work with best-in-class open-source tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options
Learn new and upcoming technologies to keep your skills current

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

5+ years of experience in the area of Software Development or deployment (Python or similar)
3+ years of experience with Data science or data engineering projects
Experience with ETL tools & Data warehouses
Experience using SQL and good RDBMS conceptual knowledge
Experience in Data and AI offerings on Public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google etc.)
Experience with ADO or Jenkins for CI/CD
Ability to understand and learn new technologies quickly
Must exhibit excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

BS in Computer Science or comparable field of study
3+ years of experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
Experience running and statistically evaluating models used in Machine Learning, Optimization, Neural Networks
Understanding of data science open source technologies including Python, Jupyter notebooks, TensorFlow, and Spark
Big Data Certifications on Cloudera/Hortonworks/AWS/GCP/Azure
Experience with deep learning models using Keras
Experience in Kubernetes and Docker
Experience with IBM software solutions across multi-cloud platforms Pak for Data

About Business Unit
Drive the agenda for partner Ecosystem in the country / market they oversee. They are responsible for implementing solutions and driving the overall partner revenue result.

Who you are:
As Build Labs Team Data and AI Engineer, you will support the creation of cloud applications that work smarter and more effectively by infusing artificial intelligence and data science workflows to extract business insights from data. These insights will drive increased value – for many of the biggest and most complex ISV partner applications. You will work with a team of engineers with expertise in industry-leading Cloud platforms and technologies to implement these transformations.

To succeed, you will become a trusted collaborator with ISV partner developers and data scientists as they move their technologies and offerings to IBM software solutions across multi-cloud platforms. In addition, you will have an opportunity to consult and provide guidance to ISV partners as they integrate their products, services, and offerings to IBM software solutions across multi-cloud platforms.

This role will interface with marketing, expert services, development, other IBM delivery organizations, and business development leaders to ensure successful outcomes. Candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving agile work environment.
