The person must possess a balance of analytical problem solving, strong interpersonal and relationship development skills, experience in working independently with global cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills, strong influencing skills and ability to work independently with external vendors – Product & Services Vendors/ Partners, Industry/Business forums
Previous experience in supporting the build-out and running of a pipeline of technology transformation work at an organizational level would be desired

Job summary
Do you want to be instrumental in the success of some of Amazon’s most strategic and highly impactful projects? Amazon’s Finance Operations Payroll team has an immediate opening for a seasoned Program Manager whose experience illustrates a clear ability to support implementation of global technologies and services to meet long term business needs.

The Global Business Program Lead is self-driven, and goal oriented with a focus in delivering a business solution that meets the user’s needs. As Program lead, you will have broad technology knowledge of content design and to drive end to end Chatbot deployment across different business units. Payroll industry expertise is preferred but not required. We are a fun and diverse team with members in several different countries. The team works from home most of the time, however, traveling may be required to support global projects.

This position will work with the Payroll Transformation team whose primary function is the delivery of high-profile initiatives. As such, you will have exposure to the technology that is needed to facilitate Amazon payroll operations. As a Leader, you will also work with Finance Technology leadership team and must have the ability to communicate effectively with technologists as well as payroll leaders to drive projects in harmony with rest of the stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

Experience with voice or multimodal speech interfaces
Brainstorm the possible user interactions & design engaging conversation
Review the Chatbots conversation and suggest improvements
Create content for responses that is consistent and recognizable as a character that comes to life
Collaborate with developers, product and design teams
Have a deep understanding of our Chatbot processes/business partners and how our bots add value to the application/service
partner with security certifiers to manage program/project risks
Understand how data from API calls, databases, and other AWS technologies fit into design, and collaborate with developers on implementing solutions
Understand business requirements and craft conversational dialogue flows aimed at solving the end user’s problem
Champion a user-first approach and conduct thorough client and user research
Analytical Thinking: Use data-driven decision making to help define best practices of Conversation Design
Proactively identify impediments and provide resolutions during the Design and Ideation phases of a project
