Job Description : Llamau is daring to imagine a world without homelessness – will you help us to create it?Llamau’s mission is to end youth homelessness and homelessness for women in Wales. It’s a big ambition and to some people it might seem impossible, but we know that if we all work together, homelessness genuinely doesn’t have to exist.We’re looking for passionate, talented and tenacious people to join an exciting new project funded by the UK government supporting young people leaving prison. You’ll be supporting them to manage their accommodation and assist them in many areas of their life through direct support or encouraging them to engage with a number of partner agencies.You’ll be an empathic person, able to understand and respond to the needs of young people as they navigate through a challenging time in their lives. You will support them through key-working sessions and a variety of other ways to develop their confidence and resilience as individuals and help them move to a positive independent future. You will be able to remain calm and show initiative when faced with challenging situations.You’ll be working alongside passionate and supportive colleagues in a rewarding environment, where you’ll be making a huge contribution to creating a Wales without homelessness, every single day.The role will participate in the first tier of Llamau’s 5-tier on-call service.Reference: OS07Location: Cardiff or Newport (2 in each area)Contract: Full Time, Temporary until 30th April 2023Salary: £21,276 per annumWorking hours: working hours are 35 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday (08:00am-18:00pm) with some flexibility required to work evenings and weekends and on call responsibilitiesEssential Criteria: Must hold drivers license and have access to own vehiclePlease email your completed application form to us directly.
