Our one form entry partner school in Bolton are looking for a skilled Primary teacher to provide Part time PPA/ Intervention support. The Headteacher would like a member of staff who is able to maintain the school’s high expectations of pupil outcomes. You will be required to work with a variety of classes covering PPA and providing intervention support to pupils who need help bridging knowledge gaps they may have. You will be required 2/3 days per week until the end of the academic year.
The school have been rated GOOD by Ofsted. The children at this school are enthusiastic and enjoy learning. However, there are some couple of children with more complex behavioural needs due to the disruptions to learning over the last couple years. This means, that whilst you would be teaching the full National Curriculum, as a PPA/ Intervention you must be aware of some potential disruption. Therefore, any experience of challenging behaviour is preferable.
As the PPA. Intervention support teacher, you will need to work closely with the class teachers to ensure the group intervention plans that correspond with in-class learning where possible.
We are looking for applicants who have:
Qualified Teacher Status
Excellent organisational skills
A commitment to child development and learning
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
