Principal Data Engineer – India

The Data Engineering team at Silicon Valley Bank is responsible for delivering data solutions that support all lines of business across the organization. This includes providing data integration services for all batch data movement, managing, and enhancing the data warehouse, Data Lake & data marts, and providing support for analytics and business intelligence customers. Key Responsibilities:
Extensive functional and technical background in the areas of Master Data Management, Metadata management, Data Quality, Data Governance, Data integration (ETL), and data warehousing / business intelligence
6 – 10 years of hands-on experience with NextGen commercial top off the shelf MDM platform, e.g., Reltio
Experience in building Master Data Management APIs according to approved design patterns for near real-time and real-time integration.
Experience in Java/Python programming.
Experience implementing MDM solutions for Product Data, Customer / Account Data, Vendor Data.
Knowledge in Graph Database and NoSQL Databases.
Uses deep experience with AWS (Cloud Computing: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Security Groups, ELB, ElasticCache, Beanstalk, Redshift, Lambda, EventsBridge, API Gateway, Kafka, SQS, SNS, SES, CloudFormation …) for API and Microservices based project designs.
Understanding of Microservice design principles, patterns and best practices
Understanding of J2EE, RESTful web service design and implementation, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, JSON, YAML, Markdown, WSDL, XML, ANT, Maven.
Good analytical knowledge for data processing and Big data Tools such as spark, Hadoop
Experience with Unix OS, writing scripts using shell/bash, Perl, Python for task automation
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
Experience with analyzing large volumes of data using distributed processing architectures (ie. Hadoop) with open source tools (e. g. Spark, Python, or R)
Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture
Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Possesses outstanding analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills, ability to influence partners and work closely with them to resolve acceptable solutions
