The Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain Digital & Analytics (“JJSC DNA”) group is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to support data engineering and modeling/analytics work needed to support the Johnson & Johnson Operating System (JJOS) activities as well as general business improvement opportunities. analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage data-intensive analytics projects to help partners make decisions that drive growth of the business
Own the project and reporting needs pipeline across the business unit and ensure all reporting requests are delivered smoothly from start to finish
Ability to perform Data Profiling, Data Discovery involving different ERP/Non-ERP systems and clearly present findings and recommendations to decision makers at different levels
Work with business to get understanding of their requirements, design the data pipeline/data model/solution and manage end-to-end delivery
Collaborate with different teams/groups within/outside the organization and supplier partners to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery of the data and visualization products/projects
Help Business improve process and help business to make data driven decisions
Grasp business needs, translate into technical needs and communicate complex technical concepts to business leaders
Supervise & Guide team of onshore / offshore development and to ensure timely delivery of all reporting solutions. Ability to perform Hands On work as needed for project purpose
Managing partner vendor resources and delivery

Qualifications

Education:
Advanced degree in STEM or related subject area, e.g. statistics, operations research, computer science, mathematics; computer science degree highly preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
You should have a unique blend of technical expertise, program management skills, and a business demeanor along with strong team leadership skills
11 to 15 years of dynamic managerial and leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
Good technical foundation, including demonstrable experience of leading and delivering data engineering projects, preferably in a highly agile environment
Expertise with SQL and backend ETL jobs written in SQL and other scripting languages like UNIX Shell Script etc.
Advanced knowledge with bigdata tools: Hadoop, Spark etc
Demonstrable project experience using cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS or GCP is required
Good communication skills – oral and written
Proficient in Agile methodology and experience of project delivery using Jira, Confluence.
Knowledge and working experience as a techno-functional consultant on ERP systems such as SAP or JDE is preferred.
Knowledge on Java/Python/Scala is preferred.
Familiarity with Version control repository like Bitbucket/GIT etc.
