Job Description : The ideal candidate will bring design and architectural that leverage next-generation technologies to build products that handle data at a massive scale with near real time performance. In addition, they possess a good understanding of the full software development lifecycle and is able to iteratively take solutions from concept to production. They are able to deliver incremental customer value at high velocity and quality by implementing CI/CD pipelines with highly scalable test automation. Finally, they will be able to collaborate and lead in a globally distributed, multi-cultural environment. We are looking for a leader in both technology and people who is passionate about building world class products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate analysis, design, implementation and test of a large software system
Write high quality and high performing code meeting key business requirements
Ability to lead a team in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver product on a fast cadence
Work in a highly collaborative environment, interacting constantly with the team and external stakeholders to ensure high value and high quality delivery
Work daily across the globe and multiple time zones
Develop test driven/test first unit and functional/integration tests
Determine scope of effort for large projects – identify risks and implement viable courses of action.
Ensure that projects are planned and executed in a timely and efficient manner
Understand business objectives linked to the development and application of technology
Required Skills and Experience
10+ years of related experience using Java to design, develop and test applications.
5 or more years of enterprise grade solution development experience using relational databases preferably with PostgreSQL
Proven expertise in Java performance optimization which covers data structure, CPU, thread, memory, network, and storage access
3 or more years of experience using Spring Framework.
3 or more years implementing large scale, distributed solutions.
3 or more years of Azure or other Public Cloud experience.
2 or more years of working experience with CI/CD Pipelines.
3 years of direct Agile/Scrum experience.
1-2 years of building near-real time applications handling large data volume.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including to senior and/or executive management
Desired Skills and Experience:
Kubernetes, Docker, and Microservice Development
Git
Azure DevOps Services or other ALM systems
Kafka and/or other streaming platforms
Added Plus
Full stack development experience
Travel Requirements: 0 – 10%
