They are looking for a freelance Senior UX/UI Designer to start asap for a few months, virtually remote apart from a few days a month in their studio in Clapton, plus OUTSIDE IR35 : ) Oh yes!

ROLE: Freelance UX/UI Explorer

IR35: Outside IR35

LOCATION: East London and Remote

WORK STATUS: Freelance, and there is a permanent role there if you would like to go perm too, or you can stay freelance

HOURS PER WEEK: 32 – 40 hours

WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR: They are looking for a freelance Senior UX/UI Designer to work to transform their customer experience. They are changing their product to be completely hybrid, creating an exceptional, integrated customer experience across both in-person and digital classes. They are going to build a hyper-engaging app to be at the core of the experience, but this is more than just a software/product team. This is so they will have the ability to run tests across the whole business, so they can make it the best that it can be.

Their favourite people are generalists, with one or more areas of particular expertise. More important than skills, though, is mindset. They want people that are as happy having very high-level, strategic conversations as they are getting into the practical details of the projects we’ll be working on. They should be excited to work on all different kinds of projects, from ones where they’re experts, to ones where they’re figuring things out from first principles. They highly value both creativity and logical thinking, and consider the ability to prioritise ruthlessly to be essential.

UI/UX

Experience leading or doing UI/UX design, ideally for a high growth, rapidly changing mobile app
Experience making data-led UX decisions and designing tests to understand user behaviour
Happy treading the balance of creating a great experience vs constantly releasing quick tests and moving fast
Able to keep the UX coherent, while rapidly iterating on the features, and how you work
Developing user research
Conducting usability testing
Creating wireframes, storyboards and screen flows
Creating product prototypes
Analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
Assisting with content development
Conducting competitor and customer analysis
Product and growth/performance marketing conversations

EXPLORE MINDSET

Ideally have worked in an early stage start up environment across multiple roles as the product evolved
Happy having very high-level, strategic conversations and joining the dots alongside getting into the practical details of the projects
Excited to work on all different kinds of projects, from ones where you are an expert, to ones where you are figuring things out from first principles
